Hi there, I’m Moneer Elmasseek, a creative based in London. Artistic, Autistic with a side helping of volume, I thrive on collaborating with like-minded people to bring new ideas to life.
With professional training in acting and writing, I take pride in blending professionalism with an eclectic passion for all things creative. I believe the best way to tackle any challenge is with a leap of faith and a positive attitude. We know what we’re doing, and what we don’t? We’ll figure it out.
As somebody who enjoys wearing many “hats” I’ve also honed my skills in videography, editing, social media management, and graphic design. I’ve found that the imagination and discipline from my training translate well into these different mediums.

Acting Showreel.
Behold below—the showreel of legend (he says with a genuine grin and a bit of sweat on his brow). I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible productions that have allowed me to showcase my acting range. From independent films to big-budget series, and everything in between, including commercials and self-made projects, I’ve made it my mission not only to demonstrate my versatility as an actor but also my ability to adapt to various types of productions.
Acting portfolio.
What do you do with a naturally loud voice and an insatiable need to observe and analyze the human condition? You become an actor, of course. Do I need routine? Absolutely. Did I choose a career without one? Also, yes. Life’s irony is the universe’s way of reminding us it has a brilliant sense of humor.
Acting has always been my first love. From stage to screen, I’ve been fortunate to be part of many incredible productions—ranging from small independent films and shows, often produced by creative friends, to large-scale projects from the likes of Disney, Netflix, 20th Century Fox, and the BBC.
Occasionally, I take the reins myself and create work to perform in (if it isn’t obvious by now, I’m someone who ‘enjoys’ wearing many hats). I’ve produced and performed in projects inspired by the works of William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, and Robert Louis Stevenson.
Below, you’ll find a gallery of stills and promotional material, along with reviews, testimonials, and links to my CV, Spotlight profile, and a complete list of my past acting work.

“Elmasseek’s portrayal of Danny, a neurodivergent man struggling to make his way in the world is very strong and totally believable. The loud outbursts, the rage, the inappropriate jokes, needing music to distract himself from tasks, all serve to draw us into his situation.” – Wendy Fisher, Everything Theatre. Review of Wet Cement.
“The piece succeeds in mixing fantastical comedy elements with darker moments, such as a lonely Big Issue seller (Moneer Elmasseek) discussing all the awful things people have done to him, but deciding that maltreatment is preferable to being blanked. Heartbreaking and it certainly makes you think. This homeless man has a penchant for quoting literature and seems to be fairly well educated, highlighting how homelessness can happen to anyone – never more potent than now, with London rents so out of control.” – Views from the gods. Review of Dirty Special Thing.
“Moneer Elmasseeks’s Zincboy84 was a physical manifestation of every entitled man-child living in their parents basements wondering why no woman wants them, raging about it in the comment sections under feminist frequency Youtube videos honestly made me want to stand up and start clapping.” – Karmen Kaarlop. Review of The Court of Smiles.
“It was a privilege to work with Moneer Elmasseek, he is an incredibly inspiring and talented actor with outstanding professionalism and amazing work ethic. Moneer Elmasseek is always open to new ideas and collaboration. Moneer is passionate about each of his roles he takes on and delivers. I would not have any hesitation to work with Moneer on a future project.” – Jake McNeil, Jake McNeil films.
“I have engaged Moneer on several occasions to play Angus McTavish in various versions of my stage play, Resurrection based on my novel of the same name. Moneer is always committed to the roles he undertakes and is always ready and willing to help out with any duties required of him. For McTavish, Moneer brought a warmth and depth to the character, which really resonated with the audience. He is meticulous in his method and takes direction well.” – Ian Britten-Hull, AMA theatre company.
“It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to work with Moneer Elmaseek on many occasions. Moneer is a unique, enthusiastic and dedicated individual. He is a delight to work with both on stage and off, and his kindness, passion and exceptional positivity are noted by everyone who works with him. A joy to watch on stage and a wonderful actor, Moneer will be an asset to any production in which he is involved, and a truly outstanding team member.” – George C Francis, A Wonderful Adventure theatre company.
“It was an honour to work with Moneer on Wizard of Oz. I Co-Produced and Co-directed the show as part of KSWE Productions and Moneer was the clear choice for the part of the Lion the minute he auditioned. He brought so much life to the cowardly character and had done so much research on the show/film itself. Moneer is an outstanding actor that brings so much love and kindness to the projects and parts he performs in/as. I highly recommend him.” – Sean Erwood, director of The Wizard of Oz.
“Moneer was a joy to work with! Talented and inspiring. He takes on any role that’s thrown his way and adapts in any environment! We had such a great time on set and i can’t thank Moneer enough for the time, effort and dedication he puts in to any role ! This is my second time working with Moneer and it’s definitely not the last time!!” – Skye Davey, director of A Third More Sinister Option.
“Moneer not only creates a comfortable working environment open for interpretation, improvisation, and feedback, he’s also a fantastic actor. Moneer not only makes the process enjoyable but brings a real sense of professionalism from bringing the script to life. His enthusiasm and excitement are why I love working with actors of his calibre.” – Oskar Bergmann-Grainger, director of Jam Jars.
Writing portfolio.
I love crafting new and engaging stories, ranging from contemporary tales to chronicles that dive deep into science fiction and fantasy (it’s poetic how often one genre blends into the other).
Click the portfolio link to explore the books I’m currently working on and browse my complete portfolio of previous works. You can also check out my curated monologue and duologue collections—an array of performance resources I’ve written specifically for actors.
Full portfolio.
As well as screenwriting, my work spans multiple literary forms, including poetry, short stories, and novels covering a wide range of themes and settings.
Here, you’ll find a curated selection of my past works, as well as detailed updates on my current writing projects.
Monologues.
As someone who has experienced both college and drama school, I understand how essential learning and performing different monologues is to the training process.
Finding the perfect monologue can be a challenge, so I created a diverse collection of original pieces to help actors find material that suits their needs.
Duologues.
Just like monologues, duologues are a vital part of an actor’s craft, whether for educational purposes or creating showreel content with a screen partner.
Below is a collection of duologues—some originally written for showcases, others extracted from scripts I’ve developed.
Videography portfolio.
From corporate, event, infographic and wedding videos to film trailers, short films, showreels and vlogs, I offer a wide range of services for all kinds of video productions and editing processes. Click below to see my full portfolio as well as examples of my work.
Moneer is a very collaborative and enthusiastic videographer, with a lot of ideas. Ideal if you’re looking for a high energy partner for your project – Namrata Nadkarni, CEO of Intent Communications.

Graphic design and Social media management.
From film posters, banners and show adverts to UGC content, social media posts and photo edits. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of individuals and companies, curating content for them.

Mental Health awareness.
As somebody with autism, it is super important to spread awareness about the disability and neurogivergency in general to help foster more understanding and build stronger communities together. Click below to access my blog as well as several links to videos and resources related to mental health.

Charities.
Here’s a list of some of the charities I support, whether through personal experience or simply a deep appreciation for their cause. If you’re able, please consider donating to these incredible organizations—they truly make a difference in creating a better world.
A community-led boating club based in East London that I was lucky to be part of. Laburnum prides itself on being an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come together and have some fun on Regents Canal.
An inclusive volunteer-led children’s theatre company that works with children and teenagers to create original shows. As one of the theatre practitioners, it was amazing to work with such talented young people.
An organisation dedicated to helping those suffering in Palestine. The charity seeks to provide much-needed medical assistance as well as posting updates on the ongoing humanitarian plight in Gaza and beyond.
One of the world’s leading LGBTQIA+ charities, dedicated to creating a safer and more inclusive environment in the UK for those within the community.
An incredible charity dedicated to helping women of African and Caribbean heritage based in the UK who are affected by domestic and sexual abuse.
An organisation motivated by the Islamic value of compassion and Zakaat (charity), Islamic Aid has numerous fundraising campaigns dedicated to raising money and awareness for different causes across the world.
The Native American Rights Fund is an organization dedicated to Native rights and tribal sovereignty. They have provided legal help to Natives for over 50 years, as well as holding politicians accountable.
A UK based charity dedicated to helping young people who are currently homeless. The money raised goes towards housing some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.
Fallout for Hope is an annual gaming marathon where gamers from around the world stream the Fallout game series (my favorite game series) and donate all proceeds to charity. An incredible way to combine a passionate hobby with a good cause.
